  1. Charlotte Gower: Rising Star in Deaf Swimming

    At just 15 years old, Charlotte Gower is making waves in the world of deaf swimming. An S15 classified swimmer, Charlotte represents both Rugby Swimming Club and GB Deaf Swimming, while also being part of Swim England’s National Youth Development Pathway—a testament to her dedication and talent.

    Last year, Charlotte impressed on the national stage, reaching multiple finals at the Summer and Winter National Championships and setting several GB Deaf Swimming youth and adult records. Her relentless pursuit of excellence has now led to an exciting milestone—she has been provisionally selected to represent Great Britain at the Deaflympics in Tokyo this November. With her sights set on the podium, she hopes to be a strong contender for medals.

    Before heading to Tokyo, Charlotte remains focused on her training, preparing for two major competitions: the Aquatics GB Swimming Championships and the Next Gen Championships 2025. With her incredible work ethic and determination, the future looks bright for this rising star.

    Alice Tai adds to a brilliant year by being named The Sunday Times Disability Sportswomen of the Year

    arena UK, wish to congratulate Alice Tai on winning The Sunday Times’ Disability Sportswomen of the Year at the awards dinner in London last night.

    The 20 year old won seven gold medals at the Para World Swimming Championships this September and currently holds five S8 world records. The Ealing SC based swimmer was also named Athlete of the Year at the recent British Swimming Awards.

    Alice commented “Thanks to everyone who has helped and supported me to this point in my swimming career, I’m very grateful to arena UK for the continued support and feel that the technology behind their racing suits give me the confidence to race so well at the highest level.”
